| Age during Prince of Tennis: 14 turning 15 in the Fall | |

says: Sengoku is obsessed with saying the word "lucky" and has
a self-deprecating sense of humor. He's a very good player and originally
seemed a bit obsessed with Ryoma. He makes jokes during his game, though
that's also a bit of a psychological tactic to keep his opponents off
balance. Sengoku seems to be rather popular with Japanese fans and because
of that, he gets paired with lots of other characters in doujinshi, thus
earning him our nickname of "Slutboy." I find Sengoku amusing,
though he's still not one of my absolute favorites.
Kim says: Lucky asshole, that's what Sengoku is. And I like him because of it, he's obnoxious and still manages to be funny. |

Name: Akutsu Jin |
| Seiyuu: Sasaki Nozomu | |
| Height: 183 cm | |
| Birthdate: April 2 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 15 | |
| Bloodtype: B | |

Kim says:
Everyone's favourite thug with a heart of gold. I bet he secretly hugs puppies.
Rachel says: Of all the characters in Prince of Tennis, Akutsu is the character most likely to beat the crap out of you. But unlike some of the other character in Prince of Tennis with evil tendencies, Akutsu is completely blunt and obvious in his actions. There is something somewhat comforting about this. Akutsu is a talented tennis player, in fact he's good at most physical activities, but he isn't good at working hard at them. Akutsu and Kawamura know each other from childhood, and I think secretly Akutsu does care about him. I'm sort of ehhh on Akutsu but I admit I really like AkuTaka. |

Rachel
says:
Minami is the captain of Yamabuki. He seems relatively normal compared
to some of his team mates. I don't remember a lot about him as I last
watched Yamabuki more than a year ago.
Kim says: His seiyuu voices Tenjo in Whistle! I like Tenjo. |

| Birthdate: August 8 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 14, turning 15 some time during Prince of Tennis. | |

says:
I'm pretty sure Nitobe also plays doubles, but I remember absolutely nothing
about him which makes me think he did not have a well developed personality
in the anime/manga.

Name: Dan Taichi |
| Seiyuu: Kobayashi Yumiko | |
| Height: 147 cm | |
| Birthdate: January 2 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 12 1/2 | |
| Bloodtype: AB | |
|
Kim says:
One of these days, his headband will slip down in front of his eyes again, and he will wander onto the train tracks during rush hour.
Rachel says: Dan, like Hikaru, of Hikaru no Go fame, proves that one doesn't have to be intelligent, to manage to have skill or to get ahead. Dan completely idolizes Akutsu and dreams of being just like his idol. Akutsu is relatively patient with him, and the rest of Yamabuki seems amused by their pint-sized manager. Dan is a complete and utter dork and I think tries what little patience Ryoma has when they have a few conversations. I'm sort of ehhhhh on Dan. He's cute, but in general, I'm not overly fond of characters I perceive as stupid. In general, I'm sort of ehhhh on Yamabuki as a whole but it could be because I haven't seen the episodes in a year and at the time I watched them I wanted to know why Momo stopped being a Regular and wanted the arc to end. ^^;. |
