Name: Atobe Keigo |
| Seiyuu: Suwabe Junichi | |
| Height: 175 cm | |
| Birthdate: October 4 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 14 turning 15 in the Fall | |
| Bloodtype: A | |
|
Kim says:
The best damn captain in the series! *kicks Tezuka* Seriously though, Keigo has it all, and is not afraid to let us know he has it all. I find it rather endearing, and Keigo is without a doubt one of my three favourite characters in the series.
Rachel says: Captain of Hyotei, Atobe in one word is "diva." But like any true diva, Atobe has the skills to back-up his considerable ego. Atobe is a top player and while some of his tennis attacks are questionable, they are all legal. I think Atobe is a good captain, he rewards and punishes his team appropriately and despite some grumbling everyone seems relatively loyal to him. I like Atobe a lot, his attitude makes me giggle. |

Name: Kabaji Munehiro |
| Seiyuu: Tsuruoka Satoshi (See Kisarazu on St. Rudolph) | |
| Height: 190 cm | |
| Birthdate: January 3 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 13 1/2 | |
| Bloodtype: O | |
|
Rachel
says: Kabaji is the quiet almost servant of Atobe. He follows Atobe practically
everywhere and one gets the impression that pleasing Atobe is all that
matters in his life. He seems to have the ability to copy his opponents
techniques, which makes him a dangerous player on the courts. I think
Kabaji seems very sweet though his willingness to do anything for Atobe
is something of a detriment. I'm ambivalent on Kabaji.
Kim says: Keigo's silent support and possible slave. Not given much credit, but damn, you have to applaud that kind of loyalty. |

Name: Shishido Ryou |
| Seiyuu: | |
| Height: 172 cm | |
| Birthdate: September 29 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 14 turning 15 in the Fall | |
| Bloodtype: B | |
|
Kim says:
One of the most dynamic characters in the series, we see Shishido progress from a vain bastard to a....humbled though proud, tough as nails bastard. It's really a lot more than that, but I don't have the space to write the essay he deserves.
Rachel says: When we first see Shishido, he's being snide about Mizuki's dramatics. (Not that I can completely blame him.) We later see Shishido resort to his own sort of dramatics when he is kicked off Hyotei after losing to Tachibana in 15 minutes. ( I have no idea what it is about players losing in 15 minutes, it's happened 3x as of 10/11/03) Shishido trains himself to become a better a player and because of Ohtori's devotion (And having impressed Atobe with his desperation to improve) Shishido rejoins Hyotei as a much more formidable player. He's still a snarky bastard, but now has the skills to back it up. I am not overly fond of Shishido. |

Name: Ohtori Choutarou |
| Seiyuu: Namikawa Daisuke | |
| Height: 185 cm | |
| Birthdate: February 14 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 13 | |
| Bloodtype: O | |
|
Rachel
says: Ohtori is the nice boy on Hyotei. (Kabaji is nice, but I'm not
sure he has the brain capacity to be evil, and I'm sure if Atobe asked
him to do something evil he would.) He has an extremely powerful serve
and seems to prefer playing doubles. After Shishido's disastrous loss
to Tachibana, Ohtori partners with Shishido and helps him train. Ohtori
seems to really care about his sempai and is willing to sacrifice himself
for Shishido. I like Ohtori a lot more than Shishido.

Name: Oshitari Yuushi |
| Seiyuu: Kiuchi Hidenobu | |
| Height: 178 cm | |
| Birthdate: October 15 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: turning 15 in the Fall | |
| Bloodtype: A | |
|
Kim says:
Laidback, snarky, and with a very devil may care attitude about him, he's Hyoutei genius. Only you know, not crazy like a certain someone else, and I don't think Oshitari cares very much about chasing after tennis dreams. He's there for the amusement factor.
Rachel says: Snarky and imperious, Oshitari likes to glare down at the other players. Oshitari is claimed to be something of a genius and according to what he says in episode 53, only plays doubles. His partner of choice is the excessively acrobatic Mukahi. Both Mukahi and Oshitari use each other's first names, proof that they have a relatively close relationship. In some respects, Oshitari reminds me of a wittier version of Tezuka, because like Tezuka, Oshitari seems to spend most of his time just watching everyone and not saying anything. I like Oshitari, but I like Mukahi a lot more. |

| Seiyuu: Hoshi Souichirou | |
| Height: 158 cm | |
| Birthdate: September 12 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 14 turning 15 in the Fall | |
| Bloodtype: B | |
| Rachel
says: Able to twist himself into more shapes than a person ought to be
able to, Mukahi is Oshitari's double's partners. He's really rather obnoxious
and is terribly spoiled. There seems to be some sort of rivalry between
Shishido and Mukahi and they have a tendency to argue with one another.
While Mukahi is good at tennis, he does need to work on his stamina. I'd
really like to get to see Oshitari and Mukahi play doubles again once
Mukahi has improved that aspect of his game. Unlike a lot of people, I
actually like Mukahi a lot.
Kim says: Cute little flippy bendy bitch. |

Name: Akutagawa Jiroh |
| Seiyuu: Ueda Yuji | |
| Height: 160 cm | |
| Birthdate: May 5 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 15 | |
| Bloodtype: AB | |
|
Kim says:
Hyoutei's little narcoleptic spazzball. It's hard not to love Jiroh, and it's obvious all of his team is very fond of him.
Rachel says: Like Kawamura on Seigaku, Akutagawa seems to have two personalities. Most of the time Akutagawa is sound asleep, however once he wakes up, he seems to have the sugar-high to end all sugar-highs. (Which might explain why he sleeps so much, that energy level is just hard to keep up. ^^; ) Akutagawa is an extremely talented singles player. Despite his eccentricities, or perhaps because of them, the rest of Hyotei seems to be particularly fond and indulgent of him. All the other players use his first name. I like Akutagawa, despite the fact he beat poor Yuuta in 15 minutes. ^o^ |

Name: Hiyoshi Wakashi |
| Seiyuu: Iwasaki Masami (See Akazawa on St. Rudolph) | |
| Height: | |
| Birthdate: December 5 | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: 13 1/2 | |
| Bloodtype: | |
|
Rachel
says: Poor Hiyoshi, I always think of him as that guy who Ryoma beat.
Hiyoshi seems to be a good tennis player who has aspirations of being
a future top player for Hyotei. He's a bit obnoxious, but the majority
of Hyotei is a bit obnoxious so he fits right in. I don't really have
an opinion on Hiyoshi as we haven't gotten to see that much of him really.
Kim says: Shroom! I love the poor put upon shroomhead. Someone needs to pinch his cheeks. |

| Seiyuu: Kiyasu Kohei (See Kaidoh on Seigaku) | |
| Height: | |
| Birthdate: | |
| Age during Prince of Tennis: | |
| Bloodtype: | |
|
Kim says:
He looks like Count D and sounds like an expensive whore. A true Hyoutei student. *snerk* Rachel says: Taki is another Hyotei player with attitude. He's no longer a regular, but still sometimes gets to hang out with the regulars. In episode 53, he glares down at Momoshiro and Ann with the rest of Hyotei. I don't really have an opinion on him either as he just seems to be another Hyotei evil flunky. ^o^ |
